Customer Liaison Officer (CLO)
Gaming Exclusions
The role of the Customer Liaison Officer (CLO)
Exclusion provisions were implemented on 1 May 2005 under the Gambling Legislation Amendment Act 2004. As a consequence this means that the gambling venues must be aware of the requirements and the impact on the gambling industry. Venues are required to appoint a CLO and that person must be suitably trained in exclusion provisions.
The Academy has developed a course designed to provide CLO'S with a better understanding of their responsibilities, and best practices in handling problem gamblers and conducting exclusions. Please note: This training course was specifically written for CLO'S, and all attendees must have a good understanding of responsible gambling practices to benefit from this course.
Public courses are available in 2010:
4th February @ Caloundra RSL Club (Sunshine Coast)
18th February @ Burleigh Bears Leagues Club (Gold Coast)
25th February @ The Academy's Training Centre (Brisbane)
Course time is 9am to 12pm.
Price $77
Per person includes training workbook & certificate.
